Sunday Meanderings – Majik Forest, Van Riebeeckshof

I’m back with another Sunday Meandering, this time we visit the Majik Forest in Van Riebeeckshof.

I am not going to lie, I had completely forgotten about this little northern suburbs gem. Why I forgot about it, I don’t know; it really is a beautiful spot with trails for both walker and bike rider, grassy areas for a picnic and a lovely dam for a spot of fishing. It even has a small obstacle course!

A picture is apparently worth a thousand words, so I’m going to let the photos speak for themselves today:

Just look at that view – it is easy to see why Majik Forest is so popular.

Exploring one of the tracks in the forest above the dams – it is so peaceful and beautiful. Just keep an eye or ear out for bikes, as these trails are shared by hikers and mountain bikers alike.

Having a go at the obstacle course – I think he’s doing quite well!

Balancing act. Crossing the stream on an old tree trunk is always fun.

Ending off the adventure with a relaxing stroll.

So, if you’re looking for a quick getaway in the northern suburbs, look no further than Majik Forest. Whether you decide to take a book and sit next to one of the dams for a bit, or explore the mountain trails, you will be transported to another world!

Until next time,
