House Sale Prep: January To-Do List

So here we are, making lists and planning the sale of our current home. I can’t actually believe that we are here! We have a number of small tasks that need to be done which have added up into quite a mini-mountain. It’s scary! To try and make it more manageable, and much less scary, we’ve put a timeline and budget together to get them all done.

This is what is in store for January

We are focusing on what is one of the most neglected places in our home: the upstairs passage. It is quite sad really. This is what we need to get done:

Skirting boards

We never finished installing them. Shocking for a DIY and Home blogger I know, but it’s the truth. I promised to share the behind the scenes and the shame, so that it exactly what I’m doing.

Door Frames

We have the classic metal door frames in all our interior door frames; they need to be sanded, primed and repainted. I showed the “before” on my Instagram Stories and saved them to my highlights (click here to see -I dare you!).

Painting in your underwear – really the only way to do it in this summer heat!

The interior doors are all getting a refresh. A wash down and fresh coat of paint; we’ve only just started and they are looking awesome already! Well, they’re looking awesome after we smoothed out the 5 year old’s paint job…

We’re starting off slow

Because it’s January, the longest month of the year financially speaking. I know that you know where I’m coming from!

I’ll keep you updated of our progress and will share all the products, tips, tricks and mistakes that we make along the way. It’s going to be awesome!

If you have any questions leave a comment below or contact me, I would love to chat 😀 Oh, and don’t forget to subscribe for updates straight to your mailbox; I promise not to spam you!
